VALVE. Some Basics Of The Valve

BUTTERFLY VALVE. IT IS ALSO KNOW AS QUARTER TURN VALVE. IT IS USED IN PIPELINE TO CONTROL THE FLOW AS PER REQUIREMENT

This post is all about the valve. We are aware different types of pipe like nonreturn valve, high-pressure valve, law pressure valve, on/off valve, etc. During our study, I think we all draw the different type of figure, and we also mention valve in it by using little symbols, and for us, everything about valve is just over there. But trust me it is not enough. Let’s see and example:

There is a sky scraper, a tall one. Now water supply providing to its residential is in the tank which is on the top of the building. Now because of its high elevation water stored in the tank has high potential energy. So when this water enters in the tap through the pipes, this potential energy will convert into kinetic energy and when someone opens the tap, there will have nozzle effect at the tip of the valve, and because of this high pressure, there will chance of damaging pipe, tap, etc.

            Now because of this situation, we use the valve. Valve is designed to control pressure,          flow, speed, etc. in our example, control valve should be installed each end of the pipe to control the flow.

 There are different types of pipe ( except those mentioned above ) like the ball valve, butterfly valve, spool valve, disc type valve, Namur valve, solenoid valve and many other. Ball valve, butterfly valve, etc. are a big pipe, so there is need of actuator to drive these valves. Here below figure, we can see the picture of a solenoid valve.

U all have experience of eating potato chips, and in the packet of potato chips, the company fills nitrogen for a preservation of food. In this process, a valve has vital important.

Do u know what more important part of our heart is? The VALVE. Industrial valve has same important in the industry.
