What are Difference Between Referegration And Air Condotioning Systems

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING

These both machines has one common primary function which is to provide coolness to desired space and they both also work on the same principle, but there is a minor difference which can entirely change their usages.

Refrigerator and Air Conditioner are the very different machine if we see from a perspective of their design, BUT here the question is about “difference between Air conditioning and refrigeration .“

First, let’s see the similarity. We know some thermodynamic cycle like BRYTON CYCLE, ATKINSON-CYCLE, etc. These cycles are the power producing cycles, here work is done by the system . so we draw them in the clockwise direction.But in the case of refrigeration and air-conditioning, their cycle are known as refrigeration cycles which are power absorbed cycle and work is done on the system in these cycles.

Ø  Cooling effect is produced by using REFRIGERANT which is defined as working fluid used to absorb heat from colder space and leave that heat to the atmosphere.

                                         NOW let’s see our difference:

·         “ IN THE CASE OF REFRIGERATION SYSTEM REFRIGERANT ABSORBS HEAT FROM REFRIGERATED SPACE AND RELEASE THAT HEAT TO ATMOSPHERE BY CONDENSING PROCESS” …. “AND IN THE CASE OF AIR CONDITIONER REFRIGERANT  HEAT FROM AIR AND SUPPLY THIS COLD AIR TO AREA TO BE CONDENSE …” 

So we can say that both systems are entirely same but only a minor change in function of refrigerant can entirely change the function of the entire system with their design.
